Case Study Details
As part of the Tobay Beach Marina bulkhead improvement project, the site’s waterfront drainage system was upgraded. Located in a high-moisture, saltwater environment, the infrastructure needed to combat hydrostatic pressure, water entrapment behind new FRP walls, and soil erosion. The solution involved installing 175 maintainable weep holes to relieve pressure, manage runoff, and extend the structure’s lifespan.
Products Used
- 175 units of JET Filter – JF2.5ABS: 2.5″ Diameter Maintainable Weep Hole Filter, featuring an open-end ABS Housing and Mirafi® Filter-Weave FW 300 Geotextile Filter Media.
Solutions
The system provides a corrosion-resistant, clog-resistant, and serviceable solution essential for maintaining safe, long-term function behind marine bulkhead walls, which constantly face high water table fluctuations and tidal pressure.
